WEDDING, COMMERCIAL & THE 'BIZ' This is a 3 session 2 hour advanced and fundamental course on the finer points of building a photography business serving wedding and commercial markets. There are a good many aspects to building and maintaining a successful and solid photography business. The topics covered are location and type of services offered; form of business (ie. LLC, Sole Proprieter, etc); accounting and legal issues and registering for Sales Tax; marketing and effective sales tactics that work. Also discussion is given to building your business through volunteer or community organizations. Resources are provided for all these areas. Attention is also given to current copyright issues and protecting yourself, creating price lists and ethics. Class participation is a must so come prepared. Class size limited to 10. This course will be covering: -Sales Tax, legal and accounting procedures and laws and set-up for a photography business. -securing a good location and getting involved in the community -effective sales and marketing sales practices. -Completion of this course will give you resources, inspiration and the understanding of building and establishing a successful photography business |
