POWERFUL PORTRAITURE This is a five session 2 hours each course. This class is advanced, designed to push students to get the most personality and creativity in their portraiture and encouraging you to develop your personal photography style. Photographers will need a digital camera with manual setting capability, preferably multiple lenses with one of them being a longer focal length; a tripod, and some kind of light source (flash, or reflector and stands). There will be class room work and take-home assignments, so be prepared to return with your recent samples for classroom critique. The goal is to push you to be a better photographer and for you to learn to push yourself. Class size limited to 10. This course will be covering: -advanced composition theory and understanding portraiture as an art. -controlling and using ambient light, use of various lighting sources and equipment for portraits. -Completion of this course will give students a much better grasp of their creative approach to portraits, using equipment, composition and your own creative control to produce more powerful images.
