The Rick Strachan Guitar Collection, published 128 pages full color, hard cover with laminated dust jacket.

This book literally became a labor of love as Rick and I worked for about a year and a half to two years photographing his guitars. Each week he would bring 4 or 5 guitars into the studio and I literally flew my cameras around them to find perspectives we loved.

Then there was Rick. Every time we would get the film back, we would drool over it, compelling him to go out and purchase another beautiful instrument, or commission a custom guitar, and we would have to wait to include it. So at the end of the book is a silhouette of a guitar, "the next one." We consumed a lot of coffee during that time.

"It started, I think, as just a photographic record for insurance purposes. It ended up as a beautiful coffee table book of my guitar collection. Kevin Haislip took the photographs, and that's where the project started to grow. He brought a really fresh perspective to the art of photographing musical instruments." Rick Strachan, From the book ‘The Rick Strachan Guitar Collection
